Allie
Allie is the technician’s bird. She hangs out in the treatment area entertaining everyone with her whistles and entreaties to “Come here!” She is five years old and a beautiful girl. Unfortunately, she has a form of epilepsy and is prone to seizures. She is quite willing to take her medications daily to control her condition. Her job is to monitor the pharmacy and to let everyone know if they’re not doing their job by calling out, “Slacker,” when appropriate. She has a large cage with many of her beloved toys. The bottom of her cage is padded with newspaper just in case she happens to fall off of her perch while in the grasp of a seizure. She is a closet talker and talks the most when she thinks that she is alone. She will be in the other room and you will hear her ask, “What are you doing?” She also enjoys confusing the technicians by mimicking the timer alarms so they think that a timer has gone off.
